my go-to travel destinations around the world
These are some of my favorite destinations — places I’ve loved for different reasons, whether it’s the food, the scenery, or just the overall vibe. I’d happily go back to every single one of these.

Bacalar, Mexico
Bacalar is quiet, colorful, and incredibly peaceful. The lagoon is the main draw — clear, warm, and constantly changing shades of blue. It’s the kind of place where days revolve around swimming, biking, and slowing down completely.
- Vibe: Calm, laid-back, nature-focused
- Best for: Relaxing, lagoon swimming, slow travel
- Don’t miss: A lagoon boat tour or Los Rápidos

La Paz, Mexico
La Paz feels authentic and easygoing, with beautiful desert-meets-ocean scenery. It’s less touristy than other Baja destinations and perfect if you love nature, marine life, and a relaxed pace without sacrificing great food.
- Vibe: Coastal, outdoorsy, relaxed
- Best for: Beach days, snorkeling, wildlife
- Don’t miss: Balandra Beach and sunset on the Malecón

Chiang Mai, Thailand
Chiang Mai has a peaceful rhythm with just enough energy. Surrounded by mountains, it’s known for its temples, cafés, markets, and slower pace compared to other Thai cities. It’s a great place to settle into for a while.
- Vibe: Cultural, cozy, creative
- Best for: Food lovers, digital nomads, temple hopping
- Don’t miss: Night markets and a cooking class

Bangkok, Thailand
Bangkok is busy, vibrant, and full of contrast. Ancient temples sit next to modern malls, and the food scene is unmatched. It can feel chaotic at first, but once you find your rhythm, it’s endlessly exciting.
- Vibe: Energetic, dynamic, fast-paced
- Best for: Street food, city life, culture
- Don’t miss: A river ferry ride and local street food stalls

West Texas, USA
West Texas is wide open, rugged, and unexpectedly beautiful. From desert landscapes to star-filled skies, it’s a place that feels grounding and expansive at the same time. Perfect for road trips and quiet reflection.
- Vibe: Remote, rugged, soulful
- Best for: Nature lovers, road trips, stargazing
- Don’t miss: Big Bend National Park and desert sunsets

Amsterdam, Netherlands
Amsterdam is charming, walkable, and effortlessly cool. Between the canals, bike culture, museums, and cafés, it’s a city that feels both relaxed and cultured at the same time.
- Vibe: Charming, relaxed, stylish
- Best for: City exploring, museums, biking
- Don’t miss: A canal walk at sunset and neighborhood cafés
